ADCO is pleased to welcome Payton Lira as our digital marketing intern. Payton will provide us with an extra set of creative hands as we continue to provide the best for our clients. Some of her responsibilities include writing content for social media and blogging.
Payton is a senior at the University of South Carolina and is pursuing a degree in public relations with minors in Spanish and business administration. On-campus, she is an active member of Gamma Phi Beta and the UofSC’s Honors College which she will be graduating from in May.
“I am so grateful that ADCO opened their doors to me,” Payton said. “I cannot wait to get started and apply what I’ve learned from my time in college to ADCO. I’m so excited to learn more about this company and the industry itself.”
Payton grew up in a Northwest suburb of Chicago. She graduated from Buffalo Grove High School in 2016 and started at UofSC the following fall. Some of her past work include internships in marketing for TransNational Payments and data analytics for sales-i.
“While we still serve our clients in many aspects, from print advertisements to billboard and website designs, we also have grown tremendously on the digital side of things. As our clients become more and more aware of the importance of an online presence, so does the need for blog posts and social media accounts,” said digital marketing strategist, Lauren McAlexander. “I am thrilled to have an extra set of hands to bounce ideas off of and help support me in those aspects.”
In her free time, Payton enjoys playing Quidditch for the university, reading science fiction novels, binge-watching The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and attempting to train her rabbit, Brizzy. Payton goes to almost all of the university’s sporting events, her favorite being football games in the fall (even when the Gamecocks lose).
