We enjoyed this item over at Adweek:
In the midst of a super-charged patriotic week—between the USA’s World Cup game yesterday and Independence Day on Friday—Adweek wanted to ask people a few questions about American brands. So we descended on a landmark New York gathering place, Union Square, to find out how Americans feel about their native brands—and if they even know them.
We asked about the importance of buying American products and what shoppers are really looking for. And we asked about the most memorable American brands, as well as what the difference is when buying domestic vs. imported.
Here’s what we found out.
But what’s the matter with these people? They came up with a couple of pretty good candidates — Chevy, Levi’s (even though one guy mispronounced it), but hey — what about Coke? Hello? Anybody there?…
