The July meeting of Social Media Club Columbia will focus on a topic that’s getting lots of coverage in the news these days: Social Media Policy — why have it, what does it look like, and who should it cover?
This month’s speaker is Christy Season. She’ll share her knowledge and insights and then open the floor for questions and discussion about social media policy.
Christy specializes in the intersection of technical solutions and communications strategy, with a focus on internal communications and intranets. She is currently an Intranet Strategist at SCANA Corp. where she oversees the strategy of the company’s intranet which supports over 6,500 employees. She works closely with internal customers and acts as a liaison with the company’s IT department, helping translate business requirements into technology solutions.
Christy is very active in all things social media and is on several committees at SCANA dedicated to researching social media for external and internal uses, as well as develop appropriate usage policies and guidelines for the company.
Christy is a Certified Associate in Project Managment and graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Computer Engineering and an MBA in E-Commerce.
If you’re thinking about implementing a social media policy, show up.
If you’re in the middle of writing a social media policy, show up.
If you have a social media policy, show up.
If you think it’s crazy that people are being fired because of social media, show up.
