The greatest literary event in the Midlands this spring occurred at the main Richland Library on May 7, when the 2016 edition of Kids in Print was released.
The young authors heard their works read aloud by professional actors, and then signed autographs while their families and friends enjoyed lemonade and snacks.
It was certainly fun for ADCO’s Brad Warthen, as his granddaughter, a second-grader, was one of the young writers being honored by publication in the literary magazine.
These young people are likely to love the written word for all their lives, and that’s something for all of us to celebrate.
