In Steve’s office are 120 flame-red boxes about to go out to meeting planners across the country. In each is a zippered pouch containing a heavy-duty lighter and door hangers asking “Is it hot in here, OR IS IT JUST ME?”
It’s all part of the “Famously Hot” campaign devised by ADCO for the Midlands Authority for Conventions, Sports & Tourism.
The enclosed material urges planners to come to a Web page where they can find out how to save $5,000 on their meeting “in a sultry Southern city.”
Which is a pretty cool deal.
